The Eudaimonia Institute at Wake Forest University invites applications for visitors to spend either one semester or one year in residence working on research projects related to the Institute’s mission.

Candidates will be reviewed by the Institute’s Faculty Advisory Board. Selected candidates may have an affiliation with a department or academic unit within Wake Forest University, appropriate to their discipline.

The Institute offers competitive funding for visitors.

Process of Application

  1. Review the Eudaimonia Purpose and Mission.
  2. Click here to start an email to the Executive Director with your application materials. The email and attached materials should include the following:
    • A cover letter;
    • An updated curriculum vitae;
    • A description (no more than five pages) of the proposed research project;
    • A tentative schedule of progress; and
    • The intended publication outlet(s).
  3. Indicate level of funding required/requested, and a tentative budget (if applicable).
  4. Send the completed email application from your email client.

Process of Review

  1. The Institute’s Faculty Advisory Board will review submitted applications.
  2. The Board will make a recommendation to the Executive Director.
  3. If appropriate, relevant department(s)/unit(s) of Wake Forest University will be approached regarding selected candidates.
  4. Upon mutual agreement, an invitation will be offered to approved candidates.
