The Eudaimonia Institute (EI) at Wake Forest University is currently accepting applications for research associates and a Tenure-Track Assistant/Associate Professor position.
Summary-The Research Associate produces original empirical research into the nature and assessment of eudaimonia, Aristotle’s word for well-being or flourishing. Contributes to the overall research agenda of the Eudaimonia Institute and shows a particular interest in developing the Eudaimonia Index. This index will measure well-being from a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective, with the goal of comparing the progress toward and achievement of eudaimonia across communities, cultures, and societies over time. This work will push the frontiers of methodological research to explore the underlying cultural, social, political, and economic institutions that encourage or discourage eudaimonia.

Summary- The Wake Forest University School of Business is seeking qualified candidates for a Tenure-Track Assistant (senior) or Associate Professor starting Summer 2018. This individual will be expected to teach the introductory course “Why Business?,” in which students examine the role of business in a humane and just society. Candidates should have a Ph.D. (or its equivalent) in Economics, Philosophy, or other related field. Evidence of prior teaching effectiveness is a must.
